Dr. Malaspina has worked on a range of load impact evaluations in both the residential and C&I sectors. This includes evaluating automated, semi-automated, and permanent load shifting demand response programs. He was the lead consultant conducting impact evaluations for OPA’s DR-2 program, which included a cost benefit analysis. 

Additionally, he worked on the annual evaluations of SCE’s Summer Discount Plan and PG&E’s SmartAC program, specializing in load modeling. He also worked on constructing samples for a CMP information feedback program. Dr. Malaspina is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where his research fields included game theory, industrial organization, contract theory and intellectual property.
